Professional golfers’ hips: prevalence and predictors of hip pain with clinical and MR examinations
The title of this study does not refer to femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), despite this pathology appearing to be the underlying concern, particularly as the authors focus on measuring alpha angles and assessing for pincer morphology. The title should be more reflective of the results.
Assessment of Acetabular Morphology Using the Acetabular Anterior Centre-Edge Angle on Modified False-Profile Radiographs
The anterior center-edge angle measures anterior coverage of the acetabulum. We reviewed a recent study assessing the accuracy of measuring this angle on a modified false profile view, as compared to the standard false profile view.
Reliability of hip range of motion measurement among experienced arthroscopic hip preservation surgeons
Data on range of movement within the hip preservation literature is limited. The purpose of a recent study was to assess the reliability of hip ROM among experienced hip arthroscopic surgeons and 4 different ROMs were analysed. Follow the link to read our review of this recent paper.
